1st Edition of the Erasmus Mundus Human Response – Opening Session and Welcome Week

On the 15th of September, representatives from all Full Partners of the Erasmus Mundus Human Response consortium gathered in Lisbon (Iscte) to welcome the group of students of the first edition of the programme and set the kick-off of the programme activities for students.

The Vice-Rector for Internationalisation at Iscte, Professor Helena Carreiras, opened the Welcome Session, which was also attended by the Deputy Head of the European Comission Representation in Portugal, Dr. Luís Loureiro de Amorim, who kindly gave an enthusiastic speech that was warmly received by all those present.

The Welcome Week organised by the consortium for students included a range of activities such as conferences, round tables, workshops, and ice-breaking sessions featuring panels of experts in the field of Humanitarian Action (many of whom are members of the Master’s teaching staff) but also social and leisure activities.
