From 15 to 19 September, students participating in the first edition of Human Response enjoyed a welcome week featuring a range of activities, including round tables on Best practices in the integration of refugees: Portugal and Greece and Challenges of Humanitarian Action Localization and Internationalization, workshops, ice-breaking sessions, information sessions, social and leisure activities.

Welcome week activities were facilitated by:

– Human Response Students;

– Consortium Full Partner representatives as Professors Jennifer Infanti and Elin Dvergsdal from NTNU – Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Justus Twesigye and Eria Serwajja from Makerere University, Clementina Furtado from University of Cape Verde, Nardi Sousa from University of Santiago and Thalia Dragonas from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens;

– Associated Partners representatives as Alexandre Carvalho from Portuguese Refugee Council, João Mota from Municipality of Fundão and Mathilde Weber from Médecins Sans Frontières;

– Iscte teaching staff as Professors Ana Simaens, Ana Laura Santos, Ana Teresa Afonso, Clara Carvalho, Cláudia Pereira, Dora Rebelo, Joana Azevedo, Marjan Jalali, Paulo Pedroso, Raquel Matias and Susana de Deus;
