Her research and publications are on intercultural education, the ethnocentrism of the educational system, social identities, refugee integration, transition to parenthood, and child participation. She co-directed a 22-year project on Muslim minority education and social integration in Thrace and EU funded projects on refugee integration, humanitarian action, unaccompanied minors, historical consciousness, and conflict intervention.
