Paul Mukwaya is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Geography, Geo-informatics and Climatic Sciences, Makerere University. He holds a PhD in Geography with research interests at the interface of Geography and society, urban systems analysis and transportation, policy and planning, and local economic development. He has conducted research and published in the areas of quantitative social sciences, transitions to sustainable transportation, the political economy of transportation, and urbanisation. Further research has focused on the intersection and implications of environmental change and policy responses to changing urban systems.
