(Course lecturer in Research Design)
Ana Santos has a degree in Design by the Technical University of Lisbon (2006) and a MSc in Design Engineering by the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands (2010). In 2014, she concluded her PhD on sociotechnical systems of surgical equipment used in humanitarian aid contexts. Since 2015 she worked with several international humanitarian organizations, leading teams and innovation projects in the field health promotion and services. Throughout this period Ana developed different curricula, mentored international teams, spoke and wrote to international panels and conferences in the intersection of Design and Health. Fields of specialty: Innovation, Global Health, Socio-Technical Systems, Human Factors and Ergonomy, Qualitative Research Methods, Design Research, Product and Service Design.
