Deisa Semedo is a Professor and Researcher at the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), a Nurse, Ph.D. in Nursing, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra. A specialist in Gerontology and Geriatrics, she served as the Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing program from 2017 to 2020. Currently, she teaches in the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing program and in the Master's programs in Public Health, Field Epidemiology, and the Integrated Master’s in Medicine. She is the faculty representative of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University Council (CONSU) and a member of the coordination team for the Master’s in Public Health at Uni-CV. She is part of the research group on Gerontology, Nursing/Health, and Education in Brazil and coordinates the Health Division of the One Health Research Center at the University of Cabo Verde (NEST-CV). Additionally, she serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals and has coordinated multiple projects in the field of health. She also supervises undergraduate monographs, master's dissertations, and doctoral theses..
