Guro F. Giskeødegård is a professor in biostatistics working at the HUNT Center for Molecular and Clinical Epidemiology, NTNU. Her research is focused on metabolomics and other molecular -omics analysis of tissue samples and biofluids from patients and population biobanks, with a focus on data analysis of large biological datasets. The research goal is to understand the complex mechanisms leading to disease development, and to identify biomarkers for improved diagnosis and treatment, with a main focus on cancer diseases.
