About Me
Jonas Bergmann-Paulsen is a humanitarian and development professional with broad experience in innovation, energy, disaster preparedness, and emergency response. He is currently a project manaqger at NTNU’s Department of Energy and Process Engineering and Program Manager for RenewHydro’s “Future Hydropower Plants” initiative. He also serves on the Norwegian Red Emergency Response Unit, and have recently done emergency deployments to Gaza, Syria, and Ukraine with the International Committee of the Red Cross. Jonas has also been part of the Norwegian Red Cross Global Surge Team.
Jonas has held senior roles in humanitarian innovation at the Norwegian Red Cross, Innovation Norway, and the World Food Programme, and has contributed to global partnerships focused on improving the effectiveness, sustainability, and technological quality of humanitarian operations. With a background in mechanical engineering (MSc, NTNU), he also supports capacity-building projects such as Hydro-Himalaya and has served on the board of Engineers Without Borders Norway.
