Marit Solbjør is professor in health science (health sociology). She has done extensive research on patient experiences in screening and cancer care, including breast, prostate and cervical cancer and screening, and the standardisation of cancer care. Currently research is about the introduction of AI into cancer diagnostics, and health literacy. Solbjør has published and contributed to a number of articles on user involvement in health services and on the experiences of individuals on long-term sick-leave. She has been teaching qualitative research methods to master students from health sciences for a decade, and supervised PhD-theses using qualitative research methods.
