Luís Mah is the director of the MA in Development Studies and an assistant professor at the Department of Political Economy at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon. For the past two decades, his teaching, research and practice have been focusing on the rapidly changing dynamics in the field of global development and humanitarian aid. He holds a PhD in Development Studies from LSE-London School of Economics and Political Science (London,2004), a MA in Political Science from Yonsei University (Seoul, 1996) and a Licenciate in Social Communication Nova University Lisbon. Between 2015-2022, he was a lecturer in Development Studies at ISEG-Lisbon School of Economics and Management/University of Lisbon. For the past 20 years, he has worked with civil society actors in Portugal and internationally and formerly led the United Nations Millennium Campaign (UNMC) in Portugal (2007-2011). He is the co-creator of Oficina Global, a research initiative aimed at helping global development-centred civil society actors to navigate the turbulent and challenging transformation of the global order
